The Steering Committee is made up of members who are interested in being a part of the major decision making involvement in the organization.
Those who serve on the Committee do so as volunteers, and are required to pay the one-time membership fee as well as all cost associated with a member of WBA (linches, special event fees, etc.)
If you would like to become part of our Steering Committee, please read over some of the responsibilities of each sub-committee listed below. Applications are frequently solicited and reviewed by existing members of the Steering Committee.
Communication Committee develops and distributes notices of meetings and events via newsletters, programs, website. They are also responsible for input, design and distribution of newsletters.
Membership Committee is responsible for recruiting, collecting membership information, and updating the membership list/directory. They are also responsible for providing new/updated information to communication committee for mail outs and quarterly meetings. Those serving on this committee should also be able to periodically check P.O. Box for correspondence.
Meeting Committee is responsible for all aspects of quarterly meetings. These items may include surveys for future topics, speakers, program information, participation, sponsorship, menu and location selection, etc.
Special Event/Project Committee is responsible for all development of special events or seminars including but not limited to community involvement, educational events or informative seminars. They also secure speakers and speaker gifts for each event or project, sponsors, food vendors, door prizes, etc.
